# NFC clock-in and Kiosk

> NFC badge clock-ins on dedicated kiosk, ideal for physical locations.

Beyond personal app clock-in, Arya offers **Kiosk mode** for office entrance tablets with NFC reader. Employees tap badge and clock in without smartphones.

## Required hardware

Arya provides preconfigured hardware on request (rental or purchase).

## Setup

  <Step title="Install Arya Kiosk app">
    Download dedicated version from App Store / Google Play (search "Arya Kiosk").

  <Step title="Enable Kiosk mode">
    From Arya web → **Settings → HR → Kiosk → + New Kiosk** → generate pairing code (6-digit number).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pair tablet">
    On tablet open Arya Kiosk → enter code. Name it (e.g. "Milan entrance Kiosk").
  </Step>

  <Step title="Locked kiosk mode">
    Lock tablet in single-app mode (iOS Guided Access / Android Screen Pinning) to prevent unauthorised access.

## Badge assignment

  <Step title="Register badge">
    From HR → Employee → **NFC Badge → Assign**. Tap badge to admin tablet NFC reader → Arya pairs.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test clock-in">
    Employee taps badge to Kiosk → Arya recognises + shows name + logs entry.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Photo (optional)">
    For anti-fraud, Kiosk can take photo (front camera) on each clock-in for later verification.

## User experience

On badge tap:

1. **Confirmation beep**
2. **Screen shows**: profile photo, name, "Entry / Exit" (Arya infers from previous stamp)
3. **Timestamp**: saved to attendance
4. **Return to idle screen** (2 seconds)

If badge not recognised: visual error message + log for admin.
